For sellers registering on Kaufland or connecting their systems

Kaufland onboarding covers registering your business on Kaufland Global Marketplace, passing verification, connecting your catalogue and orders, and choosing which of Kaufland’s nine marketplaces to sell on. EcommTech, a Kaufland service partner, handles the setup and integration, including connections through Afterbuy and Channable that we have already delivered.

What does Kaufland onboarding involve?

Kaufland onboarding is the process of registering as a business seller, submitting identity and company documents, adding VAT and compliance details, and connecting your products and orders to the Seller Portal. Once verified, you choose the marketplaces you want to publish on and the products go live there.

Kaufland’s published requirements include:

  • You must be a business seller, reachable by phone and email.
  • An official EAN (GTIN) for every product.
  • ID verification (via IDnow) and documents for your legal form, such as a trade licence or commercial register extract.
  • Details of beneficial owners holding 25% or more of shares or voting rights.
  • EU sellers: a VAT ID for each sales channel plus an OSS number. Non-EU sellers: country-specific tax registration and VAT IDs.
  • Packaging (EPR) registration numbers for Kaufland.de, .pl, .fr and .es.
  • A return address in the EU.

Which Kaufland marketplaces can you sell on?

Kaufland Global Marketplace lists nine marketplaces: Kaufland.de, Kaufland.at, Kaufland.cz, Kaufland.sk, Kaufland.pl, Kaufland.fr, Kaufland.it, Kaufland.es and Kaufland.nl. Both subscription plans include access to all nine, so expansion is mainly a matter of tax, legal texts, language and logistics.

What each new country needs What we do
VAT ID or OSS number per channel Check your tax set-up is in place before activating the channel (tax advice stays with your adviser)
Legal texts in the local language Set up imprint, terms and revocation policy, using Kaufland’s translation service where suitable
Product data in the local language Review machine translation on key products and fix titles and attributes
Shipping groups Configure shipping countries, rates and transit times
EPR numbers (DE, PL, FR, ES) Flag missing registrations before launch
Local visibility Track rankings per marketplace with KauflandTracker

How can you connect your systems to Kaufland?

Kaufland supports two main routes: connecting through a technology partner (ERP, inventory, feed or shop software) or building your own integration with the Kaufland Seller API. The right route depends on the systems you already use and how many products and orders you handle.

Tools listed in Kaufland’s Technology Partner Network include:

  • Afterbuy: a verified EcommTech project. We connected an existing Afterbuy system to Kaufland Global Marketplace with orders and listings flowing within one working day (Upwork, client rating 5.0/5, October 2025).
  • Channable: a verified EcommTech project. We set up and validated a Channable feed so one catalogue publishes to Kaufland, OTTO and Allegro with stock and prices in sync (Upwork, client rating 5.0/5, November 2025).
  • PlentyONE (plentymarkets) and JTL: also listed as Kaufland technology partners. We review your set-up in the audit before recommending either.
  • Kaufland Seller API: a REST API for sellers with in-house developers or custom systems.

How does Kaufland onboarding work with EcommTech?

We run onboarding in four steps, with daily communication from your named account manager until you are selling. The Kaufland account is yours from the start.

  1. Free audit: we review your documents, tax set-up, catalogue and current software, and send a written audit within 3 working days.
  2. Plan and fixed fee: we agree the marketplaces, the integration route and a fixed fee in writing.
  3. Registration and integration: we guide you through registration and verification, then connect Afterbuy, Channable, another listed partner tool or the API.
  4. Launch and checks: we test orders, stock and prices, go live and send weekly reports on sales, rankings and account health.

Why work with a Kaufland specialist team?

A specialist team already knows Kaufland’s registration checks, product data rules and integration options, so you avoid rejected documents and broken feeds. EcommTech works with Kaufland every day and has delivered Kaufland integrations you can check on Upwork.

We built KauflandTracker, a rank tracker for Kaufland sellers, and we manage German, Dutch, Polish and French marketplaces daily. Most of our clients sell in the EU, and several of our largest are on Kaufland and OTTO.

Once you are live, we can run Kaufland ads management or the full Kaufland marketplace management service. German speakers can visit our Kaufland Agentur page.

Can agencies use our Kaufland onboarding service?

Yes. Agencies can bring us in to register and connect their clients’ Kaufland accounts, under the agency’s brand or as a referral.

  • Your client, your brand, our specialists.
  • Onboarding for DACH, Dutch and Polish clients.
  • Reporting under your agency’s name.
  • Referral arrangements if you prefer.

Frequently asked questions

Can a non-EU company sell on Kaufland?

Kaufland’s registration page sets out requirements for non-EU sellers, including tax registration and a VAT ID for each sales channel, an EU responsible person for CE-marked products and proof of DDP imports. We check these in the audit.

Which integration should I use for Kaufland?

Usually the system you already run. If you use Afterbuy, Channable, PlentyONE or JTL, all are listed Kaufland technology partners. Without one, a feed tool or the Seller API may suit you.

Do I need a separate account for each Kaufland country?

No. Kaufland’s subscription plans include access to all nine marketplaces. You add the tax details, legal texts and shipping settings each country needs, then publish there.

How quickly can an integration go live?

It depends on your system and data. Our Afterbuy to Kaufland project had orders and listings flowing within one working day; registration and verification time is set by Kaufland.
