Amazon PPC Services in Pakistan: A Guide for Sellers

Amazon PPC services in Pakistan help Pakistan-based sellers run and improve their Amazon Ads campaigns on stores such as Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon’s European marketplaces. A good service covers keyword research, campaign structure, bid and budget management, negative keywords and weekly reporting, all judged against your margin after costs rather than ad sales alone.

At a glance

  • Eligibility: Amazon added Pakistan to its list of countries eligible for seller registration in May 2021.
  • Currency: ads are bought in the store’s currency (USD, GBP, EUR and others), while your costs may be in PKR.
  • Fulfilment: FBA listings can carry Prime; FBM sellers must still meet Amazon’s shipping and featured offer requirements to advertise.
  • Common mistakes: broad bidding on everything, ignoring the search term report and running without negative keywords.
  • Hiring: compare agencies and freelancers on process, access, reporting and contract terms.

Amazon PPC (pay-per-click) is Amazon’s advertising model in which you bid on keywords or products and pay only when a shopper clicks your ad; an Amazon PPC service is a team or specialist who manages those campaigns for you.

Can sellers in Pakistan run Amazon PPC?

Yes. Since Amazon added Pakistan to its list of eligible seller countries in May 2021, Pakistan-based businesses can register as sellers and advertise on the stores where they sell. Advertising eligibility depends on Amazon’s seller requirements, not on where you are based.

Dawn reported on 21 May 2021 that Pakistani companies could now create seller accounts using Pakistani details, including Pakistani bank accounts. Before that, many had to register through offices abroad.

To run Sponsored Products, Amazon’s advertising FAQ says sellers need:

  • An active Professional seller account.
  • The ability to ship to all addresses in the marketplace.
  • New products in eligible categories.
  • Listings eligible for the featured offer. If a listing is not eligible, Amazon says the ad will not display.

Sponsored Brands also requires registration in Amazon Brand Registry.

What should Amazon PPC services include?

A complete service covers the full cycle: research, campaign build, daily or weekly optimisation and clear reporting. It should also flag listing problems that stop ads converting, because a strong campaign cannot rescue a weak product page or a listing that has lost the featured offer.

Service area What it involves
Account audit Review of current campaigns, wasted spend, listing quality and featured offer status
Keyword research Finding the terms shoppers type in each store, in the local language
Campaign structure Separating automatic, broad, phrase, exact and product targeting campaigns
Bid and budget management Adjusting bids by profitability and keeping budgets from running out early
Search term mining Moving converting terms into exact match and adding negatives
Reporting Sales, spend, ACoS, TACoS and organic rank, reviewed on a fixed schedule

How do USD, GBP and EUR ad costs affect Pakistani sellers?

Your bids and budgets are set in the currency of the store where the ad runs, while your product, staff and shipping costs may be in PKR. Exchange rate movements change your real margin, so set your break-even ACoS from current costs and review it when the rate moves.

A simple way to keep control:

  1. Calculate your landed cost per unit, including manufacturing, freight, duties and Amazon fees, using the exchange rate you actually receive.
  2. Subtract it from the selling price in the store’s currency to get your margin before ad spend.
  3. Divide that margin by the selling price to get your break-even ACoS.
  4. Set a target ACoS below break-even if you need profit, or above it for a limited launch period.
  5. Recalculate whenever costs or the rate change significantly.

We do not quote exchange rates here, because they move daily. Use the rate your bank or payment provider actually gives you, not a headline rate. For questions on tax or how payouts are received in Pakistan, speak to a qualified local adviser.

Amazon’s FAQ also notes that Sponsored Products daily budgets are not paced across a month, so monthly spend can approach the daily budget multiplied by the number of days. Set budgets with that in mind.

Does FBA or FBM change how your ads perform?

Fulfilment affects whether your listing can show the featured offer and Prime badge, which in turn affects whether ads run and how well they convert. Amazon says FBA products are eligible for Prime. FBM sellers can advertise if they meet the shipping and featured offer requirements.

  • FBA: Amazon’s FBA and advertising guide says FBA products are eligible for Amazon Prime, which can increase visibility to Prime members. Stock sits in the destination country, so delivery is local.
  • FBM from Pakistan: you ship each order yourself. Longer delivery promises can make a listing less attractive than Prime offers next to it, so expect to test bids more carefully and watch conversion rate closely.
  • Stock: with either method, ads stop when you are out of stock, so tie your ad plan to your inventory plan.

What are the most common Amazon PPC mistakes?

Three of the most common are bidding broadly on everything, never reading the search term report and running campaigns without negative keywords. Together they mean you pay for clicks from shoppers who were never going to buy, and you lose the data that would tell you where the profit is.

Broad bidding on everything

Amazon defines broad match as the widest reach, including synonyms and related terms. It is useful for discovery but expensive if it is your only match type. Move proven terms into exact match, which Amazon says typically has the highest conversion rates.

Ignoring the search term report

The search term report shows what shoppers actually typed before clicking. Amazon recommends reviewing it to find converting keywords and ASINs to add to manual campaigns. Check it at least weekly.

No negative keywords

Without negatives, irrelevant searches keep spending. Amazon recommends negative phrase or negative exact match to block terms that do not fit your product.

Other frequent problems

  • Advertising a listing with too few images, a weak title or few reviews.
  • Judging success on ad sales alone instead of ACoS against margin. See our guide to ACoS vs TACoS.
  • Copying one store’s keywords and bids into another store without local research.

Should you hire a local agency or a freelancer?

Either can work. A freelancer usually means one person who knows your account closely, while an agency usually offers more cover, separate specialists and continuity if someone is away. Choose on process, transparency and contract terms rather than location alone.

Factor Freelancer Agency
Who does the work One person A team, ideally with a named manager
Cover during leave or illness Often limited Usually built in
Wider skills (listings, design, operations) Depends on the person Often available in-house
Legal entity and contract Varies Check the registered company details

What should you ask before hiring an Amazon PPC service?

Ask questions that reveal how the service works day to day: who manages your account, how often they optimise, what you will see in reports, and how you can leave. Clear answers in writing are a better sign than promises about results.

  1. Who will manage my account, and how do I contact them?
  2. Which Amazon stores and languages have you managed campaigns in?
  3. How often will you review search terms, bids and negatives?
  4. What will the weekly or monthly report include?
  5. How is your fee calculated, and is it agreed in writing?
  6. Is there a minimum contract term or notice period?
  7. What access do you need, and will I keep full ownership of my accounts?
  8. Can you show a registered company or verifiable public profile?

Frequently asked questions

Can a seller based in Pakistan advertise on Amazon.com?

Yes, if the seller account meets Amazon’s advertising requirements: an active Professional account, the ability to ship to all addresses in the marketplace, eligible products and listings that can win the featured offer. Pakistan was added to Amazon’s eligible seller countries in May 2021.

In which currency are Amazon ads charged?

Bids and budgets are set in the currency of the store, such as US dollars on Amazon.com, pounds on Amazon.co.uk and euros on stores such as Amazon.de. Calculate your break-even ACoS using the exchange rate you actually receive.

Can FBM sellers run Amazon PPC?

Amazon’s requirements focus on the featured offer, stock and the ability to ship to all addresses in the marketplace rather than on FBA itself. FBA products are eligible for Prime, which can help visibility, so FBM sellers should watch conversion rates closely.

What is the biggest Amazon PPC mistake?

Running broad campaigns without reviewing the search term report or adding negative keywords. You keep paying for irrelevant clicks and never move your best terms into exact match.
