This guide explains how it works, who it suits and how to get set up, based on CHECK24’s own merchant pages checked in November 2026.

What is the CHECK24 Shopping marketplace?
The CHECK24 Shopping marketplace is a section of CHECK24.de where German shoppers buy products from third-party merchants without leaving CHECK24. CHECK24 is best known as a German comparison portal, operating since 1999. Its shopping area also compares offers from external shops, but the marketplace lets you sell directly to CHECK24 customers.
According to CHECK24’s company page, its shopping offer covers 10 million products from around 10,000 shops. The CHECK24 partner page lists two routes for retailers: the Home & Living marketplace partner programme and a separate Shopping-Partner sign-up.
The marketplace is run by CHECK24 Vergleichsportal Möbel GmbH. Its official merchant page says the marketplace reaches over 20 million customers, with marketing mailings to up to 20 million customers.
Who should sell on CHECK24?
CHECK24 suits brands and retailers selling new Home & Living products into Germany, with German product content and reliable delivery. If you already sell furniture, lighting, homeware or garden products on Amazon.de, OTTO or Kaufland, CHECK24 is a logical next German channel, because you can reuse much of that content.
The official merchant page groups the range into four areas:
- Indoor: furniture and interior products.
- Household goods (Haushaltswaren).
- Lighting (Beleuchtung).
- Outdoor: garden and outdoor living.
It is a weaker fit if you sell used or refurbished goods, products outside Home & Living, or cannot provide German content. CHECK24 has also announced marketplace programmes for other categories in the past, such as shoes and fashion, so ask CHECK24 directly if your range sits elsewhere. For a wider view of channels, see our guide to the best European marketplaces to sell on.
What are the requirements to sell on CHECK24?
CHECK24’s merchant page lists three core requirements: you sell new goods in Home & Living, you hold a VAT ID from the country your goods ship from, and you provide all product information in German. Integration documentation from software partners adds product data rules, such as EANs and image standards.
What CHECK24 states
- New goods (Neuware) in the Home & Living area.
- A VAT ID (Umsatzsteuer-ID) from the country the goods are shipped from.
- All product information in German.
What integrators add
ChannelEngine’s CHECK24 marketplace guide, a third-party source, lists further requirements. Treat these as guidance and confirm them during onboarding:
- A business based in the EU.
- Customs tariff (HS) numbers if your warehouse is outside Germany.
- An EAN for each product.
- At least four images per product, minimum 800 x 600 px, with no logos, matching the offer (for example, the right colour).
- Attributes such as brand, colour, dimensions in cm, delivery time, scope of delivery, price and stock.
German compliance applies too. Packaged goods need packaging registration, which our LUCID registration guide explains, and product safety rules under GPSR apply to EU sales.
How much does it cost to sell on CHECK24?
CHECK24 publishes a simple fee model for its marketplace: 12% net commission on sales, the same rate across all product categories. It states there are no fixed costs, no connection costs and no minimum contract term. Payouts are made by credit note (Gutschriftverfahren) every two weeks. Figures checked November 2026.
| Cost item | What CHECK24 publishes |
|---|---|
| Commission | 12% net, all categories |
| Monthly or fixed fee | None stated (“no fixed costs”) |
| Connection or setup fee | None (“no connection costs”) |
| Minimum contract term | None |
| Payout | Credit note every two weeks |
| Orders | Only paid orders are passed to you |
CHECK24’s page does not spell out the exact commission base, for example whether shipping is included. Confirm this in your partner agreement before you set prices. Your other costs are your own: shipping, returns, and any middleware or connector subscription.
How do you sign up and get approved?
CHECK24 describes a three-step onboarding: register as a marketplace partner with your business data, submit product data for CHECK24 to review, then process a test order before your account is activated. A personal contact supports you during onboarding. CHECK24 does not publish an approval time.
- Register: create a partner account from the merchant page and enter your company details.
- Submit products: send your product data, which CHECK24 reviews. Its content team also works on listings.
- Test order: process a test order end to end.
- Activation: CHECK24 switches your account live.
Prepare German titles, descriptions and images before you register. Product review is part of onboarding, so complete, accurate German data gives you the smoothest start.
How do product feeds and integration work?
CHECK24 offers three ways to connect: an interface through a software partner, a manual connection using CSV uploads and the CHECK24 Merchant Center, or a direct connection where you build your own connector. Which one fits depends on your catalogue size and the systems you already use.
| Option | How products go in | How orders are handled | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Software partner interface | Automatically from your system | In your ERP or shop system | Sellers already using middleware |
| Manual connection | CSV file upload | CHECK24 Merchant Center, with email alerts | Small catalogues |
| Direct connection | Your own software via a connector | Your own system | Sellers with in-house developers |
CHECK24’s merchant page names software partners including JTL, plentyONE, Shopware, ChannelEngine, Base.com, Channable, Afterbuy, magnalister, ChannelPilot, Rithum, Speed4Trade and others. If you already use one of these for other marketplaces, ask your provider whether CHECK24 can be added to your existing setup before you consider a new build.
What does CHECK24 handle for you?
CHECK24 takes on more than many marketplaces. Its merchant page says it handles first-level customer contact by phone, email and chat, has a content team that works on product listings, and assigns a personal contact during onboarding. You still ship orders, manage stock and process returns.
- Customer service: CHECK24 answers first-level questions; you handle what it passes on.
- Marketing: CHECK24 runs seasonal events. For 2026 it lists Black Week (20 to 30 November, deals due 13 November) and a Christmas campaign (1 to 14 December, deals due 24 November).
- Payments: CHECK24 only forwards paid orders.
Tips for selling well on CHECK24
- Write German content properly. Use native-level German with dimensions, materials and delivery scope, not machine output alone.
- Keep stock and delivery times accurate. Sync stock from one source so you do not oversell across channels.
- Price after commission. Build 12% plus shipping and returns into each product’s margin.
- Plan for campaign deadlines. Submit deals before the cut-off dates CHECK24 publishes.
- Reuse what works. Content that performs on OTTO or Kaufland is a good starting point.
